Dr. Jussara V. Woiler
Founder & President of UTalk Speech Care
Dr. Jussara V. Woiler, PhD, MS, BS in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology, CCC-SLP, is a highly respected and accomplished Speech-Language Pathologist with over 30 years of extensive experience in the field.
She earned her Postdoctoral degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, her PhD and Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland in Australia, a second Master’s in Speech Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from UNIVALI in Brazil.
Dr. Jussara is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and currently holds licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in both Texas and Brazil.
She serves as a trilingual Speech-Language Pathologist at Austin ISD and UTalk Speech Care.
Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Jussara has acquired a wealth of experience across diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, large health organizations, private and public clinics, schools, senior living facilities, research laboratories, and home care.
Her educational, clinical, research, and teaching experiences are extensive and span multiple cultures and languages.
For the past 25 years, her research has focused on Autism, speech and language delays, neurologic and motor speech disorders in both children and adults, second language acquisition, and the application of neurophysiological assessment and treatment. Since 2013, she has also pioneered the use of functional neuroimaging studies.
Dr. Jussara’s academic and professional development have taken place in Brazil, Australia, and the USA. She has published in prominent scientific journals and has participated in and presented at conferences and seminars worldwide.
Her cross-cultural expertise greatly enriches her clinical practice, fostering effective communication and enhancing her ability to evaluate and treat individuals from diverse backgrounds, ultimately leading to improved outcomes for her clients.
